Can someone help me with picking my essay topic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We can surely try!! What kind of essay is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I can help if I know the subject?

I can give you some advice on what I would chose. It says write a descriptive essay so I would describe a sort of pet peeve. Something that really erks your nerves. Like your sister stuffing chocolate in your shoe. You can use smell, feel, and a ton of figurative languages. Just what I would do. Feel free to do something different :D

I would say to write about something like going down a water slide or sitting in the sand but not saying what you are doing until the end using a lot of sensory language. for ex.:(this is really rough but just to give you an idea): under my hands thousands of broken pieces warmed my hands. my ears overflowing with the noises of the birds and the crashing. the humidity filled my nose like the icecream filled my stomach..... idk just a rough idea i went to school for writing if that makes me credible haah hope i helped

Oh and at the end say I look up at the soft ocean or soemthing revealing where you are. but you dont have to use this situation or technique!

What you can do is write a fictional kind of story. It doesn't have to be true, just write about something that interests you & use that to your advantage. I myself, would probably write a fictional story. It can be a romance that ends up being a major fail at the end. You could use several sensory details as well as figurative language. I'm sure you can do great on this.

Yeah, but the thing is I'm a terrible writer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are shooting towards a writing with lots of sensory details, do a narrative writing! Narratives usually have a lot of sensory descriptions. Say you are at a carnival/fair with you best friend. In the story, you describe the smell of popcorn, the sound of everyone screaming and laughing on the crazy rides, etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^ I actually like that cause it sounds more normal to write.
