That would be a major False! Christianity rose to the peak of its history after the fall of Rome. The successor of Rome were the Byzantines, they were the ones who put Christianity on the map if you ask me. Even today most of the ancient Christianity picture you find in Eastern museums were all from the Byzantines! Even after the Byzantines empire fell, the Russians took on Christianity. So yea the answer would be false. Hope I helped :)
