ok, and for a square the length and width are the same number (all 4 sides are equal, so L and W are both the same)

I would do S*S (where S is the length of a side )

Oh so times the number 4 imes and see if it equals 36

If they tell you a side is 6 cm
then you know that both the L is 6 cm and the W is 6 cm
