Can someone help me with two questions??? (:
What are the question?
Compare and contrast the structure and function of a compound light microscope and a scanning electron microscope. Be sure to discuss the structure and operations of each, as well as the function and usefulness of each when examining specimens?
Well compound light microscopes use light to shine through a slide and into a pair of lens you can view directly. Using this method you can observe living tissue and organisms. The scanning electron microscope is very large and powerful, it uses a beam of electrons and magnetic fields to visualize the object on a screen. You can obtain great detail using this type of microscope, even go down to the atomic level on biological structures but due to how the specimen must be prepared you cannot observe living tissue.
Thank you so much, can you help me with one more?? (:
What's the question?
Describe the details you were able to see when viewing specimens with the scanning electron microscope in the microscope activity.
