The equation has a solution near x = 0. By replacing the left side of the equation by its linearization, find an approximate value for the solution. e^(3x) + x = 2

Do i just find the derivative of the function and then follow the formula for linearization with the slope i derive from the derivative and then plug in 0 for the unknown x value in order to get the value of x..? idk I'm confused.:/
