The correct answer is B. The linking verb in this sentence is "seems." Linking verbs are the verbs in the sentence that do not express action. For example you can't turn the word "seems" into "seeming". With the other sentences, the verbs in those can be switched into different forms. For example the verb "called" in answer choice A. can be switched into "calling" or "call". But, you can't do that with the linking verb "seems". Does that make sense?
