Find sin M to the nearest hundreth. (image in comments) a. 1.13 b. 0.88 c. 0.53 d. 0.47 e. none of these Find angle M to the nearest degree. (same image in comments) a. 62 degrees b. 28 degrees c. 8 degrees d. 32 degrees e. none of these
@bibby can you help me?
I don't see an M. I see A though
i think this is the wrong triangle one second. i solved that one already i think.
So I assume you know about sohcatoa
yes,
So, Which side is opposite M and which is the hypotenuse?

correct. how do we find the opposite side given that this is a right triangle
we would have to determine the opposite angle? @bibby
opposite side*
do you need an extra push?
wouldn't it be half of the longest side?
dunno where you got that from. What I'd do is use the pythagorean theorem: \(\large 15^2+b^2=17^2\) \(\large 225+b^2=289\) \(\large b^2=289-225\) \(\large \sqrt{b^2}= \sqrt{64}\)
my teacher didn't explain this very well. is this for the first one?
I thought you did the first one. this is the 2nd one.|dw:1413849293153:dw|
i still need to do the sin M and angle M. :/ alright let me do that one
we're doing the M one, right?
