Erica drove from Toronto at 80km/h. Aisha left Toronto one hour later and drove along the same road at 100km/h. How far from Toronto did Aisha overtake Erica? Can someone explain how to do this question

if t is the time that Erica has been driving then the distance she has covered is 80t km the time Aisha has been travelling is t-1 so the distance she has covered is 100(t-1) at the point sh overtakes - both the distances are equal so write the equation (distance 1 = distance 2) From that you can find the TIME the Erica has been driving before she is overtaken. You then know her time and speed - so can get distance..
