The answer shows that the point has to be (---, 0). The x-intercept has a y-coordinate of zero.
That means you take the equation and let y be zero, and solve for x. The value of x is the x-coordinate of the x-intercept.
plug in 0 for y and you get -2x=18 then you divide by -2 to get x by itself.
