solve system of equation -3x+8y=-19 8x+7y=-6 how much x,y

OpenStudy (freckles):

By what method? Or does that matter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i like the cheating method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just by equation

OpenStudy (freckles):

The options are elimination and substitution (and some people say graphing but this method seems weird to me)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we need X and Y numbers

OpenStudy (imstuck):

If you solve each of those equations for y, then you can set them equal to each other and solve for x. Then you can fill what you get for x back into one of the equations to solve it for y. That's one of several ways to go about this. One of the easier, I think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but how i can solve for y first?
