how do neutral solutes move across the plasma membrane? can polar molecules also travel through it? explain

Polar molecules cannot cross the plasma membrane without some sort of transporter or channel as it's charge is repelled due to the hydrophilic heads and hydrophobic tails of plasma membrane. Neutral solutes, as long as they are small can pass through.
