Monroe is graphing the equation y= -4/9x . He has placed a point on the origin, and uses the slope to find two more points. Which points does Monroe plot on his graph? Choose exactly two answers that are correct. @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (aum):

Slope = rise / run = -(4/9) rise can be +4 in which case run has to be -9 or rise can be -4 in which case run has to be +9. rise is along the y-axis and run is along the x-axis. For the first point, starting from the origin (0,0) go -9 along the x-axis and +4 along the y-axis and you will get the point (-9, 4). For the second point, starting from the origin (0,0) go +9 along the x-axis and -4 along the y-axis and you will get the point (9, -4).
