Is there too much going on in my story? The major conflict is this kid trying to decide whether he wants to go to a party or do his paper that's due the next day. So that's the internal conflict. But I was also thinking of having his friend trying to talk him into the party. I figure it's fine because she'd just be an influence for his decision. But I don't know, is having and internal AND external conflict, in one scene, too much?
