OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

One solution

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

Remember different slopes imply one solution.

Ok, 1. different slopes = 1 solution 2. what about same slopes? =

OpenStudy (dmndlife24):

Same slopes can either be zero solutions or infinitely many. All you have to do is solve for the solutions either by graphing or on paper. When you do solve for the solution and you get a true solution (such as 0=0 or -6=-6) it is going to be infinitely many. Also, a false solution (such as 0=-3 or -6=5) means no solution.
