Bradford B.M. Blount 10-10-2014 Mrs. Hall CHOICE #3--The people who live in the Middle East are made up of a diverse set of ethnic and religious groups. How do each of the three most prominent ethnic groups: the Arabs, the Persians, and the Kurds, compare with one another? How do they contrast? You should include in your paragraph information about the religion of each, where they live, and the size of their group. Be sure you write at least 5-7 meaningful and well written sentences. My name is Bradford McCound-Blount and the first ethnic group I will talk about is the Kurds. The Kurds are an ethnic group in the Middle East, mostly made of a region known as Kurdistan, which expands across parts of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey. Next it the Arabs. Arabs or Arabic-speaking people, are a major. They are mostly found in Western Asia, North Africa, parts of the Horn of Africa, and other areas in the Arab world. Arabic groups which have a lot of Arabic speaking people which includes the Lebanese, Syrians, Emiratis, Qataris, Saudis, Bahrainis, Kuwaitis, Iraqis, Omanis, Jordanians, Palestinians, Yemenis, Sudanis, Algerians, Moroccans, Tunisians, Libyans and Egyptians. Last are the Persians. The Persian people are an Iranian people who speak the modern Persian language and closely akin Iranian dialects and languages. Their origins are traced to the ancient Iranian peoples, themselves part of the Indo-Iranian branch of the greater Indo-European peoples. Now the first and easiest thing to compare about these three ethnic groups, is that they are ethnic!! Most of these places are found in Africa.
