Can someone check my answer? Please and Thank You!!! solve for the following equation: -5(-3x+5)= -5+5x I got x=2, is this right?

Well you can check be plugging in 2 where x is in the problem! \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-5(-3x~+~5)~= ~-5~+~5x}\) \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-5(-3*2~+~5)~= ~-5~+~5*2}\)

Let's start doing the left side \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-5(-3*2~+~5)~}= ~-5~+~5*2\) We have to start doing the parenthesis first! We gotta make sure we follow the PEMDAS rules! As we look in the parenthesis, we have multiplication and addition. Next step in the PEMDAS is Multiplication/Division, so we do the multiplication first! So what is -3*2?
