Classify the systems of equations: 3x=-6-y, 4+y=-3x-1 Is this parallel, coincident, or intersecting?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

try to solve for x,y using substitution no solution ----> parallel infinite solutions ----> coincident 1 solution ---> intersecting

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

i would plug in "-6-y" for 3x ---> 4+y = -(-6-y) -1 now you can try to solve for y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i'll try that

@Squirrels

OpenStudy (squirrels):

He kinda did it for you..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol...then i must really be dumb

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

what happened when you solved for y?
