is a real number a complex number always sometimes or never true

geerky42 (geerky42):

Well, real number is subset of complex number. Basically complex number can be written as \(a+bi\), where a and b are real number. Real numbers are complex number where \(b=0\).

geerky42 (geerky42):

So I would risk going with "always"

geerky42 (geerky42):

@Anonimouse "A Complex Number is a combination of a Real Number and an Imaginary Number" What if Imaginary Number is like \(0i = 0\)? So that can make real number complex number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A Complex Number is a combination of a Real Number and an Imaginary Number ... so all Real Numbers and Imaginary Numbers are also Complex Numbers. so, yes, all Real Numbers are also Complex Numbers
