First subtract 6 from both sides, and then multiply 5 to each side. (this'll get the variable "alone")

OpenStudy (anonymous):

listen to her she knows what's she's doing

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

i dont understand how to do that part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, start with subtracting 6 from both sides. Your equation is x/5 + 6 = 36 So then go x/5 + 6 -6 = 36 - 6. Do the same with multiplying 5 after you solve that. You're just "reversing" all the functions so you can find the value of your variable.

OpenStudy (jordanloveangel):

wait is the answer 24 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Go through the steps and find a solution. :)

OpenStudy (itsbribro):

the answer is 150 \[\frac{ x }{ 5 }+6=35\] x=150
