A cattle feeding trough is being constructed by bending a 8ft. x 3ft. rectangular piece of sheet metal. Two symmetric folds will be made so that the trough has a cross-section in the shape of a rectangle, and is 8ft. long. Plywood will be used to make the "ends" of the trough. a) Where in the sheet metal should the folds be made to produce the trough of maximum volume? b) What will be the volume?
