How did slave labor in the Southern colonies differ from that in Middle and New England colonies?

WELCOME TO OPENSTUDY!! Slaves in the south were use for more dirty work, the farther south the better the crops would go. They were used for large scale crops. The northern slaves were used to help industrialized the north further. They ran machines, cleaned machines, etc etc. Hope this helped a little!
