so you need to get x by it self first you need to subtract 1200 from both sides, what is your result after this first step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1200+0.075X \ge3300\] \[-1200+1200+0.0.075X \ge3300-1200\] what after this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is 0.075x not 0.0.075x sorry typo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.075x is greater than or equal to 2100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right now we need to get just the x without the 0.075 how do we get rid of it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

divide both sides by 0.075?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes what do we get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

28,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x is greater than or equal to 28,000?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when we divide on an inequality we have to turn around the symbol so we are left with \[x \le28000\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah sorry forgot that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankyou :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have five more questions can you also help me with those if you have time?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure I will help you with as many as I can.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankyou so much your a life saver :')

OpenStudy (anonymous):

opps before you go I just realized that we are dividing by a positive number so the inequality stays the same way sorry \[x \ge 28000\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah I was wondering because I remember my teacher saying that we don't switch it unless its divided by a negative number its fine your good help :)
