power becomes four times as much as it was before the increase, here are three equations for power. P = EI Power equals the product of voltage and current, if you double each P is 4 times as much. P=(E^2)/R if R is doubled, then R^2 is 4 times, so is the power. P=I^2R if I is doubled the I^2 is quadrupled and so is power.
