OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

f(x)=12/(4x+2) Find f(-1).

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@Loser66 I got 2 as my answer but it was wrong...

OpenStudy (loser66):

surely it is wrong :) now, just replace -1 into the expression where you see x \(f(\color{red}{x})=\dfrac{12}{4\color{red}{x}+2}\) \(f(\color{red}{-1})=\dfrac{12}{4\color{red}{(-1)}+2}\)

OpenStudy (loser66):

what do you get?? redo, please

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

I got -f=-6

OpenStudy (loser66):

not -f, f(-1) = -6

OpenStudy (loser66):

Remember, call it by its name, don't touch the left hand side.

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

Oh right. You explained that earlier ;) I can't believe I put 2 as my answer!
