Which sentence uses punctuation correctly? A. My only pet, which is a ball python sleeps during the day. B. My only pet which is a ball python, sleeps during the day. C. My only pet, which is a ball python, sleeps during the day. ( i think its b)

Miracrown (miracrown):

b is not the correct answer, because we did not set off the phrase on both sides with punctuation

Miracrown (miracrown):

the appositive phrase which is a ball python could be left out of the sentence and we would still have a complete sentence

Miracrown (miracrown):

''My only pet sleeps during the day'' - that tells more about the pet we set that phrase off with punctuation before and after the appositive phrase which answer A B C has punctuation in both places?

Miracrown (miracrown):

sentence A has a comma after pet before the appositive phrase "which is a ball python" but only sentence C has the comma in both places to surround the appositive phrase. ''My only pet, which is a ball python, sleeps during the day'' do you see how the commas let us know that we have a phrase that tells more about the pet?
