WELCOME TO OPEN STUDY! Boycotts benefit the masses of people because it makes a problem known and lets the people in charge know that their not messing around. Their willing to gather and not use/buy the thing just to tell you that you need to change the way you do something. A lot of times this is actually beneficial and the people change their thing a little bit to please the masses.
