How will we work with binomials containing radicals and complex numbers?

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

general question something of this sort \(\large \rm (2+\sqrt{2})(3-\sqrt{2})\)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

or they should have also complex numbers as well or your question is separated to two part

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

you might be asking \(\large \rm(1-\sqrt{3}i)(1+\sqrt{3}i)\) something of this sort

OpenStudy (anonymous):

separated by two parts

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

when you have \(\large \rm (1-\sqrt{3})(2+\sqrt{3})\) you just foild like you do before you get\large \(\rm (1-\sqrt{3})(2+\sqrt{3})=1.2+1.\sqrt{3}-2.\sqrt{3}-\sqrt{3}\sqrt{3}\)

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

like just the usual way you foil then you simplify

OpenStudy (xapproachesinfinity):

\(\rm 1.2+1.\sqrt{3}-2.\sqrt{3}-\sqrt{3}\sqrt{3}=2-\sqrt{3}-3=-1-\sqrt{3}\)
