your t value of 40 is halfway between 30 and 50. the velocity at t= 40 is halfway between v= 10 and v= 25, or (25 + 10 ) / 2 = 17.5

displacement = area of triangle + area of rectangle + area of trapezoid displacement = 1/2 * 10 * 10 + (30 - 10 ) * 10 + 1/2 ( 10 + 17.5 ) * 10= 387.5
