WILL MEDAL A significant effect of the First Great Awakening was that it stopped new churches from growing. slowed the growth of universities. caused division among religious groups. led to less religious tolerance.

It changed colonial culture, congregations argued over religious practices and often split apart, and people left old churches and joined protestant ones. new churches formed to challenge established religion. The Great Awakening changed the way many people practiced their religion.
So it would be C? Bc that seems like it would make sense because it didnt stop churches from growing & the growth got bigger from my understanding.
