JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Im thinking Sumer :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think that it might be that but i am leaning toward Mesopotamia because:There people first began to live in big cities and not in small villages. These cities were ruled by kings and often waged wars with their neighbors. The people which lived there at that time were known as Sumerians and their civilization-Sumerian.They made discoveries in many branches of science such as astrology, mathematics and so on.This is the so called official version. But some scientists think, although there are still no physical evidence fund, that the Sumerians were not the first. There are indirect evidences that the Egyptian pyramids were built before the time the official science states. One of these evidences is the Sphinx. Not long ago scholars thought that it was built around 3500 BC at the times of the early Egyptian Pharaohs. But recent evidences show that it dates back from around 10000-15000 BC nearly at the time when the end of the last ice age began. So there must have been another civilization, which had built it.So the human civilization may be older than we thought. but it might be your answer to because ive read about the sumer to and they were similar to.
