Find the area of a rhombus, to the nearest square centimeter, whose diagonals have a length of 40 centimeters and 26 centimeters. 520 square centimeters 1,040 square centimeters 260 square centimeters
can you help

the diagonals of a rhombus bisect eacah other and are also perpendicular so you have a right angles triangle as shown with legs of 13 and 20 cms length
i figured out how to do it i did it on a caculator 40*26 = 1,040
good work
try it on a caculator
lets look again ii think i made a false assumption there
my diagram is not to scale - how did you work it out?
oh 40 * 26?
- I was trying to work it out from first principles - i just checked out the formula its 1/2 * product of its diagonals so here we have 1/2 * 40 * 26 = 520 sq cms
