⊗Need help, ASAP ⊗ How do you solve these? I know you have to combine like terms, etc.. But I don't even know where to begin, omfg. http://tinypic.com/r/fcpmz7/8

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

It says that the are congruent angles which means they equal each other. So you set them up to equal each other.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So you would get 4x-25=2x+5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But how? I don't want the answer I just would like to know how to solve it. I've been struggling with this stuff.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

It says that they are congruent.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Congruent means equal...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that.. Lol

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So basically the 2 angles are equal to each other. And now you have to solve for xx.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

x*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I need help with, solving for X..

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

4x-25=2x+5 +25 +25 4x=2x+30

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

4x =2x+30 -2x -2x 2x=30

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

2x=30 -- --- 2 2 x=15

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

It wants angle rqs so just plug back in 15 for x into 4x=25

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You should get 4(15)-25 60-25 35

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks man, you saved my life lol.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

No problem
