Yes, its call a Digital to Analog converter, or DA, there's also a Analog to Digital converter, or AD. Even the math, in purely digital analysis you may use Z-Transforms, while in analog you may us Laplace-Transforms. I was once told by my professor that the further you go up there's little difference between digital and analog analysis, I never went that far up.
