wow lol
1/6 = 0.16 -24 / 0.16 = ? is that what you mean?
no
-24 divided by 1 over 6. 1/6 is basically division, so you divide 1 and 6. You get 0.16 (6 is repeated) so you can round to 0.17 -24 divided by 0.17 = -141.176 OR -1.41.18 Its my guess, I'm not very good at this.
I might be wrong.
this is what calculators are used for :P
ye you're wrong
are there answer choices?
i really don't think i can answer this. Good luck anyways. Bye :p
AMY ur awesome
yeah there are answer choices... 144 –144 4 –4
dangitt that does not look right let me try again...
wow the anwer is -24 times 6 which is -144
I would go with b, because -24 divided by 1/6=-144
-24 / (1 / 6) = -144
for division you multiply by the reciprocal so basically flipp it upside down and then multiply
am I not supposed to make -24 a fraction? -24/1 right?
if that;s what your learning, but i never did that. i always convert the fraction into a decimal, and then to what it says. it's the fastest way, as well.
I learned it both ways for some reason thanks
Anyway, I'll fan everyone who answered but will medal the first CORRECT answer. Is that alright?
ANYONE THERE??
I fanned everyone with answers. Now I'm going to close the question
yup thats alright :D
\[ -\frac{24}{1} = -24 \\ -\frac{24}{1} \div \frac{1}{6} \rightarrow -\frac{24}{1} \times \frac{6}{1} \]
