First add the two fractions by changing the first fraction to 2/30:

$\dfrac{3}{30} = \dfrac{1}{x}$

Now cross multiply:

3 * x = 3x

30 * 1 = 30

We get 3x = 30.

Now we divide 3 to both sides, giving us:

x = 10
