someone want to help me with a 3 paragraph essay on well-fare state? i honestly dislike people who have this so thats why i am writing about it. its an assignment for english

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Compassionate

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Tell me what you know about a Wellfare state so far.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well we are supposed to write an essay on something that annoys us and i picked this because i cant stand it when people are sitting on their butts texting and crap, but they dont even pay for it, like they get free money that other people who are trying to support their own family lose their money because it goes for them

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Alright. I understand that so far, but tell me what you know about our wellfare system so far.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm not much i just have observed lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then i go and feel like punching a wall

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay, well, 3 paragraphs isn't so hard. Tell me something you see that upsets you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uhm well i need a ~thesis statement ~topic sentence ~topic sentence ~topic sentence ~c- re-state (reward) thesis state conclusions (what i learned)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and that they get evrything but dont pay crap!

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay, well, then, let me pose a question. i. What is the most upsetting thing about Welfare?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that we are losing money out of our paychecks just to pay for their phone bills, etc

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Huh? What type of Welfare is that? You live in the U.S, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i do

OpenStudy (compassionate):

There isn't a Welfare system that pays for someone's phone bill. We have Obama Phones, but that is for people who are working or trying to get a job. It's like a work phone.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and thats the problem, is that they get all of half* of our money when we wrk our butts off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yeah health care/ welfare just pisses me off

OpenStudy (compassionate):

They don't get half your money. Taxes are kind of low. Last week I made 160 gross in-come, and got 133 of it. So, that's only 27 dollars I paid in taxes. Which goes toward your Social Security, and other taxes are state taxes that help build schools and serve the community.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Let me help you out here. Some forms of Welfare are: - Housing - Foodstamps - WIC - Pensions Which one do you disagree with, and why? Do you disagree with all forms of Welfare?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because we lose money due to the govt. giving or i mean handing out free money and well it annoys the crap out of me to see poor retricesssss people sitting having their faces dazed in their phones when there are others with a bigger family and arent getting phones handed out to them or food its bull crap

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Well, you're generalizing. We need to handle it topic by topic. So, lets start with Foodstamps. Do you agree or disagree with them?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

absolutely disagree

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay, why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

people should have to work for their food, etc. it is not a right to give poor people all kinds of crap when they chose to get big holes in their ears or whatever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or just want to be lazy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Well, now you're generalizing again. Not everyone on foodstamps is lazy. Sure, some abuse the system, but it's illegal. The majority of people on foodstamps are mothers; who also work, but cannot afford to take care of their kids because the husband died or left. Some are disabled veterarns that can't work because they lost limbs or suffer mental issues. Some people are not able to work when they are born because they're mentally ill or physical disabled. Should we kill these people?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no we shouldnt kill them, but i just dont agree on this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O.o

OpenStudy (compassionate):

The working mother who puts in 40 hours a week, but barely makes it by and cannot feed her two children because her husband died; should we let her children simply starve? No. We should feed and help her. We are a "community." Meaning, "Commune." We help each other. I've given money to the homeless and helped them eat. Simply because we make more money than those less fortunate does not mean we should look down on them. Never look down on someone unless you are helping them up. The concept you are suggesting is Nazism [National Socialism]. Basically, we should do off with anyone who cannot contribute to society like you can. Right?

OpenStudy (compassionate):

So, maybe welfare in general isn't bad. It has it's reasons and places in society.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well im talking about of the the people who choose to abuse it should not have it offered or shouldnt sign up for it just to get whatever

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Anything system can be abused. So it's not Welfare that is bad, but people.

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Try writing a paragraph about why we need Welfare A paragraph mentioning circumstances that people should be on Welfare And a paragraph discussing lazy people, and things we shouldn't fund.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm.. well im on the first paragraph lol

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Okay well. Try using these ideas. i. We need Welfare for vets who come back from battle ii. Some people cannot work because they are disabled from birth, and some have injuries because of work. iii. The rate of single mothers in America is on the rise. It's important that we nurture and protect the children, because they do not deserve to starve. iv. Providing children with money, an education and food will help them grow up and seek jobs or go to college, and put money back into the system. Just take everything I said and make a paragraph out of it. Try adding your own words and reasoning, too.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh true well i can try summarizing an idea into it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

An influential line of argument holds that globalization causes economic uncertainty and encourages popular demands for compensatory welfare state spending. This essay argues that the relationship between welfare and expansion is not being used properly; many Americans choose to abuse this right or movement often, and that welfare state expansion has been industrialized. It is known that there is no relationship between globalization and the level of labor-market risks; in terms of employment and wages whereas the uncertainty and dislocations caused by industrialization have encouraged many demands for welfare state compensation and risk sharing. Ultimately, welfare states actually don't help people in need. Instead they are having our Government's balance off of self-interest or at least having them provide it. Even though there are people out there who may actually need it I still don't support it due to having it abused for the wrong reasons. Ever since the start of this it has caused taxes to become higher, disposable income has reduced, many American Liberals think that it is a right for the rich alone to pay for an American Welfare state, which has caused earnings over $52,000 to be taxed at 40 percent. Welfare state causes social fractures,In redistributing earned income to those who choose not to work , welfare states are not only unfair, they are controllingly unfair. In the millions of Government workers who require the welfare state for their continued employment, a powerful political class emerges. Furthermore, by blocking the job seeking unemployed, those who cannot work , and the professional unemployed, welfare states fuel a arranging class of biases. This feeds a dissection of social groups shaped by perceptions of social identity rather than by common affinity, which is not good at all. I believe that even though there are people out there with unemployment, I still think that instead of offering something that takes money out of those who work hard just to give it to those who don't work, they should support them in some other way that wouldn't effect of put our country in debt.

@Compassionate

OpenStudy (compassionate):

Looks good to me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol well i had to do some research, so i put some used phrases in there but does it look hand written or no?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@confluxepic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make sure its not too informative cause i had to research some stuff lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

The essay is good. Do you want me to check for grammar mistakes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no like does it sound as someone would say or does it look copied lol cause i stole some phrases

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Copying from one is plagiarism. Copying from many is research.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

lol ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i didnt copy i re worded lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH okay :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne do you agree with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like if it were a debate what would you argue

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I will not put my personal beliefs into this matter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just saying if it werent optional atleast would you agree or diagree which side would you go on

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I wouldn't say.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I think you should delete the post in which you wrote your essay. So if your teacher had a plagiarism checker, it wouldn't say that you plagiarized from Open Study.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay
