\[\frac{9}{x^3-7x^2}=\frac{9}{x^2(x-7)}=\frac{A}{x}+\frac{B}{x^2}+\frac{C}{x-7}\] Note: you could use a linear factor for the \(x^2\) term, i.e. \(B_1x+B_2\), but you'd find that \(B_1=0\).
