For which value of X is line L parelle to line M? A-28 B-62 C-22 D-68

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is 62, 2x +6 = 130 So what you would do is 2x + 6 = 130 - 6 -6 2x = 124 Divide by 2, because you want "x" to be by itself x = 62

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello kmcllb you didnt answer my question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where is your question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you!! Do you think you could help me with a few more? I was really sick and missed a lot of school work /:

When Jackie sat down to her knitting, she had already knitted 15 rows of her scarf. Fifty minutes later, she had knitted a total of 60 rows. Let m represent the number of minutes Jackie knits, and let r represent the number of rows she knitted. Which ordered pairs (m, r) would be graphed on the line that models this situation? Choose all answers that are correct. A. (0, 60) B. (0, 15) C. (50, 15) D. (50, 60)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I could And I told you Plan, it's C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is more than one answer i will medal agian

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B, and D Once again you plug in the 2nd information they gave you. Sorry It's not C, I misread it the first time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thx i will fan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sage, be willing to ask me more.

Plans for a bridge are drawn on a coordinate grid. one ginder of the bridge lies on the line y=-9x-9. A perpendicular brace passing through the point (-1,7) Write an equatoin of the line that contains the brace. a-y-1=-1/9(x+7) b-x-7=-9(y+1) c-y-7=1/9(x+1) d-y-7=-9(x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's B but I'm not sure /.\

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perpendicular = X and Y are crossing on a coordinate plane. So, yes B. is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yaaaaay ^.^ okay -What is the slope of the line shown?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just tell me if I'm asking too many questions!!! I forgot how to set this problem up/:

OpenStudy (eyust707):

slope is: (the change in y)/(the change in x)

OpenStudy (eyust707):

what is the height difference between the first point and the second point? or in other words, what is the change in y?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

from 5 all the way down to -4 is 9 spaces... so the change in y is 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y = 9 Change in Y over change in X!! Simply just count, thats all it take's xD How many spaces are there? Thats your answer. c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thnx!!!! sorry I was eating. And could you help me with another? :) What is an equation for the line that passes through points (-1,-4) and (1,4)? Write the equation in slope intercept form. :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would that be y=mx+b??

OpenStudy (nikato):

Wait, your first question is wrong. The two angles are supplementary. They are not equal. So 2x+6 +130=180 2x+136=180 Subtract 136 on both sides. 2x=44 Divide both sides by 2 x=22

OpenStudy (nikato):

And your second question is not B. y=-9x-9 Slope is -9 And you're finding the line for brace which is perpendicular Remember the slope of perpendicuoar line is negative recipricol Negative recipricol of -9 is 1/9 Now plug to point-slope formula. y-y1= m(x-x1) Where m=1/9. And (x1,y1)= (-1,7) Plug it in y-7= 1/9 (x+1)

OpenStudy (nikato):

For most recent question, first find slope. -4-4 ----- = slope -1-1
