OpenStudy (ilovecake):

Which lists all the integer solutions of the equation |x| = 4? A. –4 and 4 B. 0 and 4 C. –4 only D. 4 only

OpenStudy (igreen):

The absolute value signs make the number inside of it positive no matter what it is..so what's the answer? @Ilovecake

OpenStudy (ilovecake):

it is d or b right?

OpenStudy (ilovecake):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

No it's none of those.. 0 does NOT equal 4..so B is wrong. The solution is not ONLY 4..so D is also wrong. The answer is A..it's both -4 and 4, because if you put -4 into the equation you get: |-4| = 4 4 = 4 Because those lines make the number inside of them positive.
