Help now please!!!! We buy gallons of gas, but liters of soda. We drive for miles but run the 400-meter dash. Discuss how or why this is true in our country.
@iGreen
I have stuff for the meters but I need help with the gallons part
Because only a few countries use US measurements like gallons, feet, inches, etc. But most of the world uses metric units like meters, liters, etc.
Does that answer your question?
In this country we use US measurements..in others they use metric measurements.
But it's asking why do we sell gas by the gallon and why we sell soda in liters
Hmm..maybe it's just more convenient? I'm not really that sure.
this what I put @iGreen We sell gas by the gallon in America because our metric system is different than other but we sell soda by the liters cause the soda can be bought and sold from different parts of the world and it is important everyone understand the units. The reason why we run 400 meter dashes is because in the Olympics there are runners from all around the world and everyone needs to be able to understand the metric unit.
Yes, that's good. I think you should also say: The reason why we run 400 meter dashes is because more people in the Olympics use that measurement. Because there are people in the US playing in the Olympics.
The reason why we run 400 meter dashes is because more people who play in the Olympics use that measurement.*
