Why might an animal cell burst in a hypotonic solution and a plant cell would not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

animal cell in hypotonic solution- burst because water goes in and pushes the solute out plant in hypotonic solution- cell wall takes prevents it from bursting when h20 goes in, and thus plant is turgid
