Fan and Medals :D I'm writing an essay about the type of structure and language Martin Luther King Jr. uses in his "Letter From Birmingham Jail." My thesis is this: Martin Luther King influences his readers through the use of similes, rhetorical questions, and powerful imagery to take action and clear his accusations of being unwise and untimely. Can anyone help me with an attention grabber? That's all I need.. :D
When he wrote it, MLK began the letter in the margins of a newspaper and finished it on scraps of paper. I wonder if you can begin something like, "Words can have power, even those written on scraps of paper. That's what MLK used when he wrote his "Letter from..."
