Help me pwease =P A company made $303 in 2007 in profits. If profits increase 20% from 2006 to 2007, difference between this year's profit and last year's profit is how much?

undeadknight26 (undeadknight26):

303 x .20 303 - 60.6 =? At least thats what i think.

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

2006: x | 20% increase (120% overall) 2007: 303 So 120% of x is 303. Or 1.2 x = 303. We find x here, and then subtract: 303 - x = difference in profits.
