whats 6/12 - 2/9

OpenStudy (loinducoeur):

First, simplify 6/12 to 1/2. It makes it a lot easier later on. You're now left with 1/2 - 2/9. Make the denominators the same by multiplying 2 and 9. Your new denominator will be 18. Then, you have to multiply the numerators by whatever number you multiplied the denominators by. Now you can subtract the two fractions. If you're still confused, I can show you my workings out :)
