Solve the matrix equation.
how would you solve: a-x = b
That's why I am asking this, I don't know really.
youve taken some basic algebra, they dont just throw these at you. if you had a- x = b, how would you determine the value of x?
find a and b and plug them into the equation.
well, thats an idea .. how about, we add x to both sides and subtract b from both sides a-b = x
oh.
now, since these area matrixes, and not just normal looking numbers. you might wonder how we subtract one matrix from the other .. do you have an idea how to do that?
*are matrixes
any thoughts you can come up with are fine, i can correct them if need be.
if you know how to add 'like terms'; this is the same concept, but we are combining 'like parts' a matrix has rows and cols, such that each element can be defined uniquely by its row/col. Arow1col1 has a 'like part' with B, Brow1col1 Arow2col1 has a 'like part' with B, Brow2col1 etc ....
is it d?
i like d, 3--2 -1-3 2 - 1 5--6 5 -4 1 11
