find the probability of getting at least one heads and at least one tails with five flips of a coin

OpenStudy (inkyvoyd):

In all cases but two you get at least 1 heads and 1 tails: if you get 5 heads, or 5 tails. So we subtract the probability of those outcomes from 1 to get our answer: 1-.5^5-.5^5
