sin^-1(0.47) i understand that the answer is pi over 3, but how do i show the work, my instructor has only taught on calculators and said figure it out

myininaya (myininaya):

sin^-1(sqrt(3)/2) is pi/3

myininaya (myininaya):

so sin^-1(0.47) cannot be pi/3

myininaya (myininaya):

answer should be pretty close to pi/6 because .47 is pretty close to .5

myininaya (myininaya):

The calculator approach is usually the way to approach something like sin^-1(0.47)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its because its a inverse Sin-1(([radical]3)/2

OpenStudy (mathmath333):

it depends on the value of 47 whether it is 47 degrees or 47 radians
