what can you do to help project a positive image
-Smile honestly and genuinely, like the people you are talking to are long lost friends and you can't wait to catch up. -Maintain positive posture. What do I mean by that? Hold your head high, do not look down your nose at others, and appear approachable. try to avoid crossing your arms (it makes you look closed off and defensive) and keep your hands visible a good bit of the time (appeals to an instinct that doesn't trust the hands that it can't see). -Actually engage people. Talk to people and care what they say. And try to have something intelligent (not smart-mouthed) to say back to them. -Use proper grammar when you speak and write and communicate with people in general. If it's not a job interview or talking with someone important, then you don't have to be formal, but people will only believe that you are as intelligent as your speech tells them that you are. I have learned through life experience that if you treat people with courtesy, then it will make you seem like the most positive/imaged person in the world and it will open many doors for you.
