Hello @Tabatha13 , Welcome to OpenStudy ! Mitosis is an equational division and does not change the ploidy of parent cell i.e no. of chromosomes after ad before the division remains same. Hence each daughter cell after (and before) mitosis have 23 pairs of chromosomes. (in humans)
