don't know Newton's method .... but filling in the first row seems pretty straightforward...

\[\huge x_{n+1} = x_n -\frac{ f(x_n) }{ f'(x_n) }\] This is what I think it is, it helps find the roots.
yeah, its pretty much spelled out by the table columns ...

It should be pretty straightforward, did you get it?

the last item in the first row is x_2 ... the first item in the 2nd row
