:anybody:(

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

\[x_1 = 0.5\\ \cos(x_1)= \cos(0.5)=...\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

newtons rhapsody

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge x_{n+1} = x_n -\frac{ f(x_n) }{ f'(x_n) }\] This is what I think it is, it helps find the roots.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yeah, its pretty much spelled out by the table columns ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\huge x_2 = x_1 - \frac{ f(x_1) }{ f'(x_1) }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be pretty straightforward, did you get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get the first row, but not the second one:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look at the formula I gave you above, that will help you :)

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):
